Cabins
Cabin #1 – sleeps 18 on bunks with mattresses. Electric heat, flush toilet, cook top stove and refrigerator.
Poole Cabin – sleeps 14 on bunks with mattresses. Wood stove for heat, cook top stove and refrigerator. Oct-Mar outhouse Apr-Sept flush toilet.
Rotary Cabin – sleeps 24 on bunks with mattresses. Electric heat, flush toilet, cook top stove and refrigerator.
Sherburn Lodge - sleeps 18 on bunks with mattresses. Electric heat, cook top stove and refrigerator. Oct-Mar outhouse Apr-Sept flush toilet.
McIntyre Lodge - sleeps 16 on bunks with mattresses. Electric heat, cook top stove and refrigerator. Oct-Mar outhouse Apr-Sept flush toilet.
Numerous campsites spread out around the camp. Fuller tent sites have flush toilets and showers from Apr-Sept. All other sites have outhouses.
The camp has a fully equipped Dining Hall that seats 120. It is only available from April to October.
Massasoit has a stocked trading post. Soda, candy and patches are just a few of the things available.
Massasoit has a raised stage that has a sunken fire pit at both ends and overlooks seating for 200.
Elbow Pond’s 14 acres makes it a great place to fish year round. The pond has a variety of fish including large mouth bass that have weighed in at over 12lbs.
Massasoit’s Archery Range is available year round, weather permitting. The campmaster in charge will set up a time and training for units that wish to use it.
Historic Plymouth is less than 15min away. Go aboard the Mayflower II or visit Plymouth Plantation. Walk or bike the length of the Cape Cod Canal. Woods Hole deep-sea exploration site is less than an hour away.
Detour Directions to Camp Massasoit
Due to the replacement of Carter's Bridge on Carters Bridge Road you have to follow the following detour to get into Camp Massasoit The bridge should be reopened by 4/27
From Rt 3 take exit 3
Turn right at the end of the ramp go to the end (about a block)
Turn left on to Long Pond Rd.
Go about 2 miles and turn right on to Halfway pond Rd. you will see signs for camping and the Atlantic Country Golf Course
About 1/2 mile on your left turn on to Bourne Rd. again you should see signs for camping.
Take Bourne Rd for about 4 1/2 miles and turn left on to Little Sandy Pond Rd. (if you come to the entrance of the camp ground you went too far)
Follow Little Sandy Pond Rd. to the entrance of the camp on your right. (as soon as you go under the high tension power lines all the land on your right is the camp)
